Funeral Arrangements

As an alternative to a traditional funeral, John has chosen to donate his remains to Medcure, helping in the development of new medicines, the study of human anatomy, and the process of perfecting surgical procedures. John's donation will directly help in the discovery of a cure for cancer.  

There will be a small service for the immediate family.  Instead of attending a traditional funeral gathering, we ask that you take a moment to remember the good times you've shared with John.  Light a candle.  Read a poem.  Listen to Bob Dylan.  Add a comment to this website under the "share" tab.  Above all, keep John in your thoughts and prayers as he makes his journey from this world to the next.

Hospice of the Foothills

The Hospice of the Foothills is a community based non profit organization serving terminally ill patients and their families in Western Nevada County.  Their mission is to affirm life and promote dignity for the terminally ill by providing professional, comprehensive and compassionate care to the patients, their loved ones and the community.  

John spent his final days under the compassionate care of the amazing medical staff and volunteers of Hospice of the Foothills.  It is his family's wish that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in his name to this wonderful organization.
